Internet Marketing

What is is about Internet Marketing or Online Marketing that is so evocative? Or should I say provocative maybe? I can understand that people are seduced by the "laptop" lifetsyle, of course I can - it's something we all want (well most of us). However, I do get rather annoyed when I see so called Internet "Gurus" praying on people's desire to make money and achieve that lofty goal!

This is what gives the "Internet Marketing How To" market such a bad name - the fact that too many so called "experts" are selling crap as the silver bullet solution. I was taught an ex is a has been and a spurt is a drip under pressure. How true.

So we have seen the rise of the push button "get rich quick" online software. There are slick sales videos that run over 30 minutes with super smooth actors telling you this product is all you need. It's a carefully crafted script and if I wasn't so experienced in all this crap...I would fall for it. God knows I have hard drives full of the stuff before I wised up.

So, how can you stop yourself buying the next shiney object? It's dificult I know, I've been there!

All I can say is be very careful about the Guru you choose to follow! The "big boys" of this world are all peddling re-hashed, out of date junk. And it's become an inner circle of back slapping as they all promote one another's products to their ever hungrier and ever increasing lists.

What I can't understand is why people haven't relaised that...after buying thirty six products from these people they are not any richer...but the Gurus are. So, the "players" all go off on another yacht party as your credit card starts to foreclose.

It's wrong praying in YOUR desire to better yourself.

Get Rid Of The Double Chin

Hello Again,

Well I am being a busy boy at the moment! It's true I am trying out some much deeper niche markets for out affiliate marketing business and the latest test is in the double chin market :>) You have to say it's an brilliant domain name - yes I got http://getridofthedoublechin.com which is just brilliant!

We all know that when you build small niche related sites (up to about 15 pages) then an exact match domain IS important. It's different if you're building an "authority" site of, say 70+ pages. Then you tend to try and get the root niche keyword in the domain. But I am so pleased with my "double chin domain"!

If you look at the site you'll notice it is very different to our past niche sites, so this is a new departure and we are following a very specific structure for the new deep niche sites.

Well, I did 25 years in recruitment so you have to allow me a nostalgic look over my shoulder as I make use of everything I learned!

So, here are a few more snippets from my lengthy tome on how to find a job!

If you're looking for a new job...you have to kow where to find jobs, and this is an extensive section on exactly where you can find jobs. From the Internet to the Trade Press, it's all here. Every possible source of finding a new job is covered!

There are also certain techniques you should use and employ when applying for jobs. You certainly don't want to fall at the first hurdle and this section ensures you will stand out from the ever growing crowd of job hunters!

Finally (for today), your CV. It's your sales tool, your chance to tell potential employers what you can do for them, so shout loud and proud about what you can do, your skills, abilities and achievements. Find out what you need to put in to your Curriculum Vitae to get noticed and called for that all important interview!
